Freelance Road Trip Podcast with Alvalyn Lundgren

You’re a freelance creative. Do you need a resumé? That depends on how you find clients.

For freelancers who promote their creative services to clients directly, the portfolio is what attracts. In this episode I share the reasons why a resumé is not necessary and how to use your portfolio website as your primary marketing tool.

Make your website a marketing tool. Add website updates into your regular quarterly schedule of business objectives.

Be ruthless about the type of work that you include in your portfolio and make sure that it’s targeted toward the type of businesses and organizations that you really do want to serve.
